The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) seeks applications for a tenure-track position in the area of computational materials science. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to build an active interdisciplinary research program in one or more of the following areas: structural materials, soft materials, energy materials, electronic and optic materials. In addition, a commitment to education should be demonstrated. Consideration will also be given to candidates whose experience in teaching, research or community service has prepared them to contribute to diversity and excellence.

Applicants must have earned a doctorate in materials science or a related field. Appointments will be tenure track at the assistant professor level, but truly exceptional candidates will also be considered at a higher (tenured) level.
