Professor Ya-hong Xie received a Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation
Professor Ya-Hong Xie received the Research Award from Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2012. The award honors the academic achievements to date of internationally recognized scientists and scholars from abroad. Professor Xie's research activities focus on epitaxial growth of advance materials, innovative epitaxial growths of GaN, nano-science and fabrication, and graphene CVD and device applications. He has built an international reputation for his work on heteroepitaxial growth of SiGe systems. He has also made a significant contribution in the area of self-assembly of semiconductor quantum dots.
